One injured in Myrtle Beach shooting, police investigating

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A person was hospitalized following a shooting Sunday evening on Carver Street, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Carver Street around 5:39 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found one victim, who was transported to a hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim has not been disclosed.

Police have increased their presence in the area as the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or a motive.
