According to officials, a car crash near the Point Pleasant beachfront injured a person and broke a utility pole.

The incident occurred at North Ocean and Washington Avenues intersection early on Saturday. Police responded to find one SUV involved in the crash, which caused severe damage to the utility pole.

The individual injured was treated at the scene, and emergency crews successfully removed the SUV from the area to clear the scene.
