Online Powerball ticket turns Lycoming player into $150K winner
Middletown, PA – A Lycoming County resident quietly scored a six-figure Powerball® prize this week after purchasing a winning ticket online—netting $150,000 in Monday’s drawing, lottery officials confirmed.
The ticket, bought through the Pennsylvania Lottery’s online platform, matched four of the five white balls drawn — 26, 28, 41, 53, and 64 — along with the red Powerball® 9. The win would have been $50,000, but the player opted for the $1 Power Play®, which tripled the prize to $150,000 thanks to a multiplier of three.
As of Wednesday, the winner had not yet come forward publicly. Lottery officials emphasize that winners are not identified until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. For online purchases, winnings are processed and deposited automatically into the player’s account once verified.
This Powerball® drawing also produced more than 25,500 additional winning tickets across Pennsylvania. Over 6,300 of those included Power Play® and more than 4,300 were purchased with the Double Play® option.
The Powerball® jackpot rolled over again and is now sitting at an estimated annuity value of $33 million, or a $15.2 million lump sum, for the next drawing scheduled Wednesday.
