Overnight school threat in Martin County was for school in Palm Beach County, arrest made

MARTIN COUNTY, FL – Overnight the Martin County Sheriff’s Office received complaints regarding a potential school threat shared on social media. After an investigation, it was determined that the threat was to a school outside of Martin County.

MCSO made contact with investigators in Palm Beach County who were immediately able to track the source of the post and make an arrest. The student said he made the post as a joke. In an effort to control rumors, we want parents to know that the issue has been resolved, and that there is no threat to schools in Martin County.
