Overnight shed fire in Beachwood under investigation, no injuries reported

BEACHWOOD, N.J. — A shed fire broke out just after midnight Monday in the rear yard of a residence on the 700 block of Forecastle Avenue, according to the Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department.

Fire crews responded at approximately 12:15 a.m. and found a large shed fully engulfed in flames upon arrival. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

Officials have not released information about what may have caused the fire. The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Beachwood Police Department are investigating.

“The fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries reported,” the Beachwood Fire Department stated in a report posted online.

No damage was reported to nearby structures, and no evacuations were necessary during the response.

The shed was located in a residential backyard and was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene, according to initial reports.

The fire was contained to the structure and did not spread to adjacent homes or vegetation. Firefighters cleared the scene shortly after extinguishing the flames.
