Overnight Shooting Leaves Two Men Injured in Southeast DC

Washington, DC – A shooting incident in Southeast DC has resulted in two men being hospitalized, prompting a thorough investigation by law enforcement.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) reported that officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Bass Place just before 1 a.m. on Monday after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that another victim was found in Maryland with a gunshot wound. He was also transported to a hospital for medical attention.

As of Monday afternoon, the conditions of both victims have not been disclosed.
