Overnight Storm Destroys Pine Beach Riverfront Pavillion

PINE BEACH-A passing storm overnight causing power outages and minor flooding also packed heavy winds that caused minor damage up and down the shore was responsible for the collapse of the Toms River beachfront pavillion in Pine Beach.

“Cedar Ave. pavilion damaged due to the storm. Please use caution in the area and let our public works department handle it,” the borough said today.

The Cedar Avenue Pavillion was a small overhead pavillion with a bench that provided a fantastic view across the Toms River facing Island Heights on the north side of the Toms River.
