OXON HILL, MD – An Oxon Hill resident recently won the $100,000 top prize in the sixth edition of the $100,000 Crossword scratch-off game. The construction worker who enjoys crossword and bingo-themed scratch-off tickets, purchased the winning ticket from 7-Eleven #36747 in Oxon Hill.

The winner was accompanied by his brother to the Lottery Winner’s Circle where he shared the story of his big win. He said that he took the $10 instant ticket home and played it while watching TV at night. The winner’s brother recounted his reaction, stating that he couldn’t believe it and immediately called him after discovering the prize.

His name was not released by lottery officials.

The lucky winner plans to save the prize and boost his bank account with the winnings. The 7-Eleven store that sold the winning ticket at 5622 St. Barnabas Road will also receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off.

The $100,000 Crossword game went live in August 2022 and now has only one top prize remaining. The game still has numerous other prizes, including three $10,000 prizes and over 111,000 $10 prizes.
