Oxon Hill man charged with murder of wife after 911 confession

OXON HILL, Md. — A 38-year-old man is in custody after allegedly stabbing his wife to death in their Oxon Hill home and calling 911 to confess, police said.

Kenton Donaldson is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 33-year-old LeNaiya Donaldson. Officers responded to the 1100 block of Kennebec Street around 10:15 a.m. on March 15 after a friend of the victim reported a domestic dispute. Minutes later, Donaldson called 911, stating he had stabbed his wife during an argument and was fleeing to Virginia.

Prince George’s County officers found LeNaiya Donaldson with multiple stab wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene. Donaldson was later arrested in Virginia with assistance from the Fairfax County Police Department.

He remains in custody in Fairfax County, awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County. Investigators are asking anyone with relevant information to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
