Parkville man wins $50,000 on scratch-off ticket sold in Towson

Pile of money.

While some people ask the universe for a sign before making decisions, a Parkville man simply went to a Maryland Lottery retailer to find his sign. The player spotted a scratch-off there with a big dollar sign as its name and the game him a $50,000 top-prize win.

The 56-year-old saw his lucky omen, the $5 $ game, at Loch Raven Check Cashing located at 1314 Goucher Boulevard in Towson. He matched his numbers to one of the winning numbers on the instant ticket for a major payday.

Loch Raven Check Cashing also gets a nice bonus, receiving $500 from the Lottery for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.

The $ scratch-off went on sale in August 2020 starting with eight top prizes. There is still one remaining along with four $5,000 prizes plus more than 130,000 prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000.
