Parsippany Police Report Attempted Burglaries and Vehicle Thefts

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Police Department reports two attempted burglaries in the township, believed to be targeting high-end vehicles.

In the early hours of January 5th, two separate incidents occurred. Around 4:20 AM, an attempted break-in was reported on Old Bloomfield Avenue. A male suspect tried to enter a residence through a front window, but was deterred when the occupants woke up and activated their alarm system. The suspect immediately fled the scene.

Shortly after, at about 4:29 AM, another attempt was recorded on Winfield Drive. CCTV footage captured a male attempting to access an Audi parked at the residence. Failing to unlock the vehicle, the suspect then tried to enter the house through a rear door. He fled when the occupants inside awoke.

Authorities believe the same individual was involved in both incidents.
