Her winning tickets were bought at Royal Farms #183, situated at 8551 Ft. Smallwood Road in Pasadena. The 61-year-old scratch-off enthusiast has been a regular player but had never won more than $50 before. “I started shaking because I was so happy,” she exclaimed when she realized she had won the substantial prize.

Keeping her newfound fortune relatively close to her chest, she has only shared the news with her daughter so far. With a 20-year career as a caterer, the winner intends to utilize her $50,000 prize for essential home improvements and assisting family members in need.
