PASADENA, Md. — A woman found with life-threatening injuries earlier this year in Pasadena has been confirmed as the victim of a homicide, Anne Arundel County Police announced.
Officers from the Eastern District responded to a report of a possible overdose around 6:05 a.m. on April 4 in the 1200 block of Lorene Court. Upon arrival, police found signs of narcotics use as well as evidence suggesting an assault had occurred.
The victim, identified as 34-year-old Heather Elizabeth Beaver, was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Detectives from the Homicide Unit took over the investigation and executed a search warrant at the scene.
Investigators conducted interviews and collected items considered to be of evidentiary value. Beaver’s body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma. The manner of death was officially ruled a homicide.
Investigators seek public’s help
Detectives are working to piece together the victim’s activities and whereabouts between Tuesday, April 1, and the morning of Friday, April 4. Authorities are asking anyone who interacted with Beaver during that timeframe to come forward.
