Passenger Killed by Flying Metal Debris on New Jersey Turnpike

AUDUBON, NJ — A tragic event occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike on Thursday, leading to a passenger’s death after being struck by a flying metal object police reported.

The incident took place around 1:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes, just south of Exit 8. Steven Bradshaw, 39, of Audubon, N.J., was hit while inside a vehicle when the object penetrated the windshield.

Bradshaw was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, however, sustained no injuries. Emergency services responded promptly to the accident site.
