TOMS RIVER, NJ – More passing storms this evening could bring more flooding in urban communities, waterfront communities, and areas with poor storm drainage.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Ocean County and surrounding communities at the Jersey Shore.
“This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for inland portions of Ocean County in New Jersey. .DAY ONE…Through tonight. Several instances of flooding are possible, especially in urban and poor-drainage areas and near vulnerable small creeks and streams,” the NWS said.
Monday night, a large storm system passed through northern Ocean County. More overnight periods of heavy rain combined with thunder and lightning are possible into the late evening.
