Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Van in East Farmingdale

East Farmingdale, NY – A male pedestrian was killed late Saturday night in East Farmingdale after being hit by a van while crossing Route 110. The accident occurred at the intersection of Conklin Street around 11:10 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police.

The pedestrian, whose identity is being withheld until his family is notified, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The vehicle involved, a 2001 GMC Savana, was traveling southbound on Route 110 at the time of the accident. The driver, a 57-year-old man from Lindenhurst, was reported to have not sustained any injuries.
