Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Crash in Rahway

RAHWAY NJ – the Rahway Police Department is investigating a fatal hit and run crash involving a pedestrian. The incident occurred early Monday morning.

According to police, at approximately 2:59 AM, a vehicle struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Saint Georges Ave and West Inman Ave.

The Rahway Police Department said after the suspect struck the pedestrian, they fled southbound, heading towards Woodbridge Township. Responding officers provided first aid to the victim, who died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime.

The vehicle driven in the crash was described as a dark colored sedan with tinted windows and is believed to be a Nissan. Police said the vehicle was suspected of having damage to the front driver side bumper and is believed to have broken the front driver side window.

At this time, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
