Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Pickup Truck

BALTIMORE, MD – Police in Baltimore are investigating a crash involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian that led to the death of a man on Friday.

At around 4 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Hamilton Avenue, in the rear, in response to a reported crash.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male pedestrian being attended to by medical personnel.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

According to preliminary investigations, a pick-up truck driver was backing down the alley when the vehicle struck the male pedestrian lying down in the alleyway.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the BPD Crash Team.
