Pedestrian struck, seriously injured on Philadelphia street

A pedestrian in Philadelphia was hit by a dark blue Chevrolet Camaro while crossing the 5100 block of Grays Avenue on Sunday at 1:20 a.m. According to authorities, the victim experienced serious head trauma and was thrown about nine feet before being rushed to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. The driver, aged 34, initially fled eastbound on Grays Avenue but later turned themselves in to the police. The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed that the investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
