Uniontown, PA – More than a year after a 14-year-old boy allegedly shot and killed Anthony Jones, prosecutors have announced a criminal case against Calvin Jay Huffman, 38, the suspected mastermind behind the crime.

Huffman is accused of hiring Antonyo Owens, then 14, to murder Jones in a plot motivated by revenge and partially funded by drugs. Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele stated during a press conference covered by CBS Pittsburgh that the dispute between Huffman and Jones was over narcotics.

Prosecutors revealed that Huffman paid Owens $5,000 in cash and provided three large bags of marijuana to carry out the murder. Authorities allege this payment was made to exact revenge against Jones.

Additionally, prosecutors have announced that they will be filing a notice of aggravating circumstances against Huffman. If convicted, they will seek the death penalty.
