Perkasie Police Vehicle Involved in Collision, Driver Arrested for Intoxication

PERKASIE, PA – On Sunday, at approximately 9:29 pm, a collision occurred involving a Perkasie Police Department Ford Explorer and a Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by Cassidy Crawford, a 29-year-old resident of Telford.

The accident happened near the Perkasie Library on Arthur Avenue, with Crawford’s vehicle veering into the police SUV’s lane, causing an offset head-on collision.

Crawford was uninjured in the incident, but the involved officer sustained injuries and received treatment at Grandview Hospital.

Following the accident, Crawford exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests.

The Pennsylvania State Police from Dublin Barracks are conducting further investigations, and charges against Crawford are pending.
