Perp breaks into KFC, takes off with $2,400 and bag of chicken

NEW YORK, NY – A burglar forced their way inside a Bronx KFC and fled the scene with $2,400 and a bucket of chicken, the New York City Police Department reported today.

Not Kentucky Fried Chicken, Kennedy Fried Chicken.

Police are seeking help from the public in identifying an individual in connection with a burglary that took place in Kennedy Fried Chicken on East 170 Street on April 16, 2023. The incident was reported to the police, and according to the report, the unknown person gained entry inside the building by breaking the front gate at around 2:30 a.m.

Once inside, the perpetrator stole $2,400 in cash from the register and a bag of chicken before fleeing the scene.

The police are looking for a male with a thin build, light complexion, and last seen wearing a black winter hat, a black jacket, a black t-shirt, black pants, and black & white sneakers.

The NYPD has provided surveillance photos of the individual and asks anyone with information to contact their Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or to submit a tip online. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential.
