NEW YORK, NY – A woman was attacked on a NYC subway station platform on Manhattan’s Upper East Side on Sunday. She was attacked by a man who shoved her head into a moving train, causing spinal injuries.
According to police, on Sunday, at approximately 6:05 a.m., the 35-year-old woman was assaulted at the Lexington Avenue/63 Street Station.
According to apolice report, an unidentified male approached the woman from behind on the southbound platform and forcefully pushed her head into the departing ‘E’ train.
The victim suffered severe injuries and was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
She is currently in critical condition and receiving medical treatment for lacerations to the head and spinal injuries.
After the assault, the assailant fled the scene on foot, heading towards the Second Avenue exit.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, aged approximately 30 to 40 years old, and standing around 5’6″ to 5’7″ in height.
