Perth Amboy Cops Rescue Woman and Her Dog in Flood Submerged Car

PERTH AMBOY, NJ – Perth Amboy Police Officers R. Almanazar, A. Pegero, J. Inoa, and N. Alicea were instrumental in rescuing a woman and her pet from a vehicle submerged in water.

The incident occurred on New Brunswick Ave. near the YMCA during a heavy rainstorm.

Due to the officers’ swift action, the woman was safe and required only a brief evaluation from EMS, avoiding hospitalization.

The officers’ efforts were crucial as floodwaters in the area were rising quickly.
