Peterson on Murphy’s Illegal Alien Licenses: So You’re Accommodating People who Broke the Law?

New Jersey Assembly GOP rips state Democrats on a new law aimed at giving illegal aliens driver’s licenses in the state.

Today, Assemblyman Erik Peterson grilled Sue Fulton, the head of New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Commission, at an Assembly hearing on a state plan to allow the state to issue drivers’ licenses to residents unable to prove lawful residency. The measure advanced along party lines.

“Giving access to driver’s licenses to people in the country illegally poses serious security risks and undermines U.S. immigration laws and sends a message that violating the law does not have consequences” – Peterson.
