Fort Washington woman struck and killed in Oxon Hill pedestrian crash
OXON HILL, MD – A 20-year-old woman from Fort Washington was killed Saturday evening in a collision involving a pedestrian along Oxon Hill Road, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. on November 22 in the 6900 block of Oxon Hill Road. Officers responded to the scene and found Zahria Jackson lying in the roadway with signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings indicate Jackson was in the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver involved remained on scene and was not injured. No charges have been filed at this time as investigators work to determine the circumstances of the crash.
The department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
