Philadelphia Man Arrested After Alleged Road-Rage Incident in Maryland

Prince George’s County, MD – Maryland State Police have arrested a Philadelphia resident, Andre Howard, 34, following allegations of a road-rage shooting on Wednesday in Prince George’s County.

Howard faces multiple charges, including two counts of felony assault, using a handgun during a crime of violence, and possession of a loaded handgun. He is currently held at the Prince George’s County Division of Corrections, awaiting an initial court appearance.

The incident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. when state troopers were alerted to a road rage incident on the ramp from southbound Route 4 to Woodyard Road. The victim reported that his vehicle was hit by gunfire while he was stationary in traffic.

Authorities are continuing their investigation while Howard remains in custody pending his court proceedings.
