ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Two men have been arrested in Atlantic City by the local police department after surveillance and the assistance of a K9 team trained in detecting narcotics.
Detectives Christopher Dodson and Alberto Valles were engaged in surveillance on July 15, at Trenton and Crossan Avenues following complaints from residents about drug-related activities.
While conducting the surveillance, the detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop as part of their investigation into narcotics. The driver, Kareem Wiley, was found to have a suspended driver’s license, which prohibited him from operating a vehicle in New Jersey.
Detectives had also arrested Wiley on July 6. Both Wiley and his passenger, Taquan Montgomery, were taken out of the vehicle.
K9 Officer Michael Braxton and his K9 partner, Ryker, a dog trained in detecting narcotics, arrived at the scene to provide assistance. K9 Ryker gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. Upon conducting a search, the detectives discovered 56 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of marijuana, and various items associated with the distribution of narcotics, such as a scale, rubber bands, small Ziploc bags, sandwich bags, and a razor blade.
Both men were arrested.

One of the arrested individuals has been identified as Randall Wiley, a 21-year-old resident of Philadelphia, PA.
