Philadelphia Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Delaware Following Traffic Stop

LEWES, DE – John Romano, a 45-year-old resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was arrested by Delaware State Police on drug-related charges following a routine traffic stop last Saturday morning. The arrest occurred on Dairy Farm Road just south of Lewes-Georgetown Highway after Romano’s Subaru Crosstrek was spotted crossing the solid double-yellow line on the roadway.

Upon making contact with Romano, the trooper detected a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Romano produced a significant quantity of cannabis oil when questioned about the odor. Further inspection of the vehicle revealed Romano was in possession of approximately 175 grams of marijuana, 6.7 grams of hash oil, 23.3 grams of cannabis oil, 13.3 grams of cannabis edibles, and 7.19 grams of cocaine.

Romano was subsequently taken into custody without incident and has been charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court # 3 and released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
