Philadelphia Man Attacked Two Victims with Sledgehammer at New Jersey Tire Shop

Edison, NJ – A violent incident occurred at Crown Tire on Route 36 in the Port Monmouth section of Edison, NJ, leaving two people injured. A 64-year-old man, identified on Facebook as Edison native Rocky Granata, was hospitalized after being attacked with a sledgehammer, suffering significant head injuries.

Michael Gonzales, 36, from Philadelphia, has been charged with attempted murder following the assault. Witnesses at the scene detained Gonzales until police arrived.

The female victim was also injured in the incident and received medical attention at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. The male victim was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for his injuries.
