The Delaware State Police have identified the victim who died during a fatal single motor vehicle crash on April 30, 2022, as Dennis E. Saulters Jr, 35, of Philadelphia, PA.

“On April 30, 2022, at approximately 3:57 a.m., a 2016 Mercedes Benz driven by Dennis E. Saulters Jr. was traveling southbound on I-495 south of Philadelphia Pike,” the Delaware State Police Department said. “For unknown reasons, the Mercedes crossed over the partial left shoulder, and the left side of the car struck the guardrail. As a result, the vehicle traveled southwest, crossing the three southbound travel lanes before exiting the road and traveling down the grass embankment and striking the concrete support and a DELDOT pole with the front right corner. The car then overturned and came to rest on its roof in the area of East Holly Oak Road.”

Saulters was not properly restrained and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
