Philadelphia Men Charged with Firearm Offenses in Separate Cases

Philadelphia Police

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Monday, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, along with the Gun Violence Task Force, announced charges against Waseem Bennett and Michael Brickle for unrelated firearm offenses.

Bennett is implicated in a West Kensington shooting on August 28, facing nine counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, and other charges.

He allegedly fired eleven shots into a residence, causing injuries from shattered glass and a graze wound.

Michael Brickle faces over two dozen counts of felony straw purchasing and related offenses.

Investigations traced multiple firearms recovered in crimes back to Brickle, leading to his arrest in November. He is currently held on three million dollars bail.
