Philadelphia Police Continue Investigation into Ellsworth Street Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are actively seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding a shooting incident that occurred on March 27, 2023.

The shooting occurred at 1402 Ellsworth St. at approximately 10:08 pm, where a 33-year-old male victim was shot in the right calf following an altercation with an unknown assailant.

The suspect, described as an unknown black male, fled the scene in a black Ford Explorer with an unidentified license plate number.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to contact 911 immediately or to submit a tip anonymously by calling 215.686.TIPS (8477). All submitted tips will be treated as confidential.
