Philadelphia Police Searching for Woman Wanted for Kensington Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A woman identified as the shooter who fired shots into a crowd in Kensington, striking one man is being sought by the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on June 6, at 2:43 am, SEPTA police officers were dispersing a large crowd when they heard a gunshot in the area of Wishart and Kensington Ave.

“SEPTA police officers located a male victim on the 1800 block of E. Wishart St suffering from a single gunshot wound to his abdomen and transported him to Temple Hospital. Video of the incident as well as the offender inside of a local bar before the shooting was recovered,” police said.

The suspect was described as a black female, 40 to 50 years old, medium build, multiple tattoos on chest, shoulder length black hair, red/white/blue striped jacket over a tan dress and was last seen in a silver Dodge Magnum (tag unknown).
