Philadelphia Police Seek Suspects in E. Wister Street Double Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively searching for two suspects involved in a double shooting that led to the death of a 16-year-old boy and seriously injured a 17-year-old boy. The incident took place on E. Wister Street around 6:37 PM on Wednesday, March 27.

The two suspects, described as Black males in their teens, were captured on surveillance video near the scene. Following the shooting, they were seen fleeing southbound on Wakefield Street and then eastbound on E. Garfield Street.

One suspect is described as approximately 5’3” to 5’6” tall with a medium build. The other suspect is notably taller, roughly 5’10” to 6’1” tall with a heavier build, and was observed wearing a medical walking boot on his right foot during the incident. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
