PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A Fast Play ticket for the Golden Vault game has hit a progressive jackpot worth $282,608, Pennsylvania Lottery officials announced Wednesday, marking a major win for one lucky player in the city.

The ticket was sold on Tuesday at the Shell station located at 4268 Ridge Avenue. The store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The prize has not yet been claimed, and the winner’s identity will remain unknown until the ticket is validated.

Golden Vault is a $10 Fast Play game that features a progressive top prize starting at $175,000. The jackpot grows with each ticket sold until someone wins, then resets.

Unlike traditional scratch-offs, Fast Play games print instantly at the time of purchase from a Lottery terminal or self-service vending machine. Players can check their tickets using a scanner at retail locations or through the Lottery’s official mobile app.

All Fast Play prizes must be claimed within one year of purchase. The Pennsylvania Lottery urges top-prize winners to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481.

The winner will be subject to applicable taxes on the prize, as required for all lottery payouts exceeding $5,000.

Golden Vault is one of several Fast Play games currently offered statewide. Details, rules, and odds for all games are available at palottery.com.

Tickets must be validated before a prize can be claimed, and the Lottery has not disclosed whether the winning ticket was purchased by an individual or as part of a group.

The jackpot resets immediately after a progressive prize is claimed and continues to grow with every subsequent ticket purchase.
