Philadelphia store sells $20,000 a month for life Pennsylvania Lottery ticket
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off ticket worth $20,000 a month for life was sold at a Philadelphia retailer, lottery officials announced Thursday.
The winning ticket was purchased at Discount Palace & Party, located at 6233 Woodland Avenue in Philadelphia. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The prize comes from the Pennsylvania Lottery’s $20,000 a Month for Life Scratch-Off game, a $10 ticket that offers top prizes of $20,000 per month for life. Winners also have the option to take a one-time cash payment of $3,200,000 before applicable withholding.
Lottery officials noted that winning tickets are distributed randomly, meaning the Pennsylvania Lottery and retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold until a prize is claimed.
Players are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket immediately and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery to begin the claims process.
Scratch-Off prizes expire one year from the game’s end-sale date listed on the Pennsylvania Lottery website.
