PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Police, acting on information received from the ATF and PPS Police, have arrested a juvenile male for making threats to Pittsburgh Milliones University Preparatory School and posing with firearms on social media.
Yesterday, detectives from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Zones 1 and 2 located the suspect at a residence in the 2100 block of Rose Street. Surveillance of the area led to the observation of a male exiting the residence and entering a U-Haul box truck as a passenger. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers found the male in possession of a pistol equipped with a 50-round drum magazine. A subsequent search warrant on his backpack revealed a fully automatic switch for a Glock, additional ammunition, magazines, and marijuana.
Later, a second male, identified as the 17-year-old juvenile seen in the social media videos, was observed leaving the same residence and getting into the backseat of a different vehicle. The police intervention resulted in the discovery of the juvenile in possession of an AK-47 and two pistols. He was arrested and subsequently released to the custody of an adult family member.
