Pittsburgh Police Investigate Shooting Incident on N. Fairmount Street

Pittsburgh, PA — The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Friday night in the 300 block of N. Fairmount Street.

Just before 10:40 PM on July 12, police responded to reports of multiple shots heard in the area. Upon arrival, officers found shell casings and spoke with a woman who reported that her adult son had been shot while inside a vehicle and had driven himself to the nearest hospital.

Officers located the victim at the hospital, where he was in stable condition with gunshot wounds to his back. The victim’s vehicle was towed to the Auto Squad garage for processing.
