Pleasant Plains Fire Department Responds to Car Fire

TOMS RIVER-On March 28th at 10 pm police and fire units were dispatched to Walgreens, 2353 Route 9, for a vehicle fire.  Upon arrival they observed flames from the engine compartment of a Silver Honda Accord.  Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire. The owner stated that he parked his car in the lot went inside shopping. He returned to find the vehicle on fire.  Officers Michael Weg and Matthew Crosta are conducting the investigation.  There is no indication of any criminal activity in this incident.
