Police Apprehend Juvenile with Gun in City Cente

Pittsburgh, PA – PIttsburgh VPU and Narcotics detectives working in Market Square on Monday, engaged a male seen with groups of fighting juveniles downtown.

The male, witnessed hitting a female, fled on foot after discarding a backpack when approached by detectives.

Law enforcement managed to apprehend the 17-year-old shortly thereafter and recovered the backpack, housing a revolver with a scratched-off serial number. The male was arrested and taken into juvenile probation custody.
