Police Arrest Gunman After Shots Fired Near Jersey Shore Area Motel Corridor

ABSECON, NJ — On Thursday night, shortly before 10:30 PM, Absecon Police Department officers were dispatched to a motel corridor along US Route 30 following reports of gunshots. At the scene, they discovered signs of gunfire.

The police launched a detailed search for potential victims and examined area surveillance footage, which led to the rapid identification and capture of the suspect. Desmon A. Wilson, a 23-year-old from Mays Landing, was taken into custody and faces charges related to weapons offenses.

No victims have been identified in connection with the shooting. The investigation remains active. The local police are urging the public to provide any information that might be related to this incident.
