Police Arrest Suspect in Montgomery Village Monday Morning Murder

GAITHERSBURG, MD – A 21-year-old man from Gaithersburg was killed in a shooting on Monday in Montgomery Village. The incident occurred around 11:38 a.m. on Club House Road.

Responding to the scene, Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers found the victim with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location. The MCPD Major Crimes – Homicide Division took charge of the scene, gathering evidence and conducting interviews.

Investigators identified 20-year-old Oliver Alexis Perez Fierro as the alleged shooter. He was arrested at around 12:15 p.m. the same day and is now facing charges including first-degree murder and using a handgun in the commission of a felony.

Evidence was collected from Perez Fierro’s home under a search warrant. He is currently held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit awaiting a bond hearing.

The investigation is still ongoing. The name of the deceased will be disclosed following notification of his family.
