Police Continue Search for Fugitive Wanted for Murder in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE, DE – The Delaware State Police and the Bridgeville Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 27-year-old Alan Alancantara of Bridgeville, DE, who is wanted for murder. Alancantara is believed to be operating a 2006 blue Honda Civic.

The search for Alancantara began on Friday, when police were dispatched to 309 Cedar Street, Bridgeville, for a missing person complaint. The missing 52-year-old man could not be located and signs of a violent confrontation were evident within the residence. A witness reported seeing Alancantara fleeing the scene.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is now leading the ongoing investigation and has obtained an arrest warrant for Alancantara on a charge of first-degree murder. Details about the case remain limited at this time.
