Police Continue Search for Moped Bandits in August Gun Incident

NEW YORK – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals involved in a menacing incident in Brooklyn on Sunday, August 27.

The event took place at approximately 11:40 p.m., as a 32-year-old male victim was riding in a vehicle going southbound on Harrison Avenue toward Flushing Avenue. Two unknown males on a moped approached the vehicle and brandished a firearm at the victim before fleeing. The victim was not injured.

The first individual is described as a male, approximately 5’7″ tall, with a light complexion and a heavy build. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, and gray and black sneakers.

The second individual is also described as a male, approximately 5’7″ tall, with a light complexion and a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket, blue jeans, and red sandals.

The moped they were riding is red and white.
