Police continue to investigate double shooting in Paterson

PATERSON, NEW JERSEY – Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro announced that on March 7, 2023, at approximately 11:10 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to 12th Avenue and Straight Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a potential crime scene but no victims were found.

Shortly thereafter, a 38-year-old male from Paterson, NJ, and a 39-year-old male from Mount Holly, NJ, arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ via private vehicle, seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
