BAKERSFIELD, CA – This week, over 15 pounds of meth and cocaine, worth over $200,000 was taken off the streets of Bakersfield. On December 15, 2020, a Kern County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Seventh Standard Road at Galpin Street, in Bakersfield, for a traffic violation.
During the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 alerted on the vehicle. The deputies located and seized approximately 15lbs of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $136,000.00) and one kilogram of cocaine (estimated street value of $80,000.00). Martin Vergara-Villalobos (32) and Jose Vegara-Villalobos (46) were arrested and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Jail for conspiracy, transportation of methamphetamine and cocaine, sales of methamphetamine and cocaine, and a traffic infraction pending court proceedings.
