Sheriff Mastronardy: Police Dog Stabbed in Mantoloking Recovering

MANTOLOKING- A dog who was stabbed during a Mantoloking warrant execution is recovering fine, according to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

K-9 Kane is expected to make a full recovery and is to be released as soon as tomorrow from veterinary care.

“We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 unit,” said Ocean County Sheriff Mastronardy’s office. “Yesterday, K-9 Kane was injured while on duty and is currently recovering. We wish Kane a speedy recovery and keep all those involved in our thoughts.”
