Police Hoping Photo of Bank Robbery Suspect Leads to Arrest

POTOMAC, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police’s Major Crimes Division is currently investigating an armed robbery that took place on Tuesday, October 31, at a Wells Fargo bank located on the 9800 block of Falls Road.

At about 11:05 a.m., officers from the 1st District were dispatched following reports of the robbery.

The male suspect reportedly entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the tellers. After obtaining an undisclosed sum, the suspect fled the scene.

Investigators have released surveillance images of the suspect, described as a 40-year-old Black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, last seen wearing a red baseball cap, sunglasses, a mask, a red sweater, blue jeans, and two-tone shoes.

The public is asked to provide any information they might have, with the possibility of a reward for tips leading to an arrest.
