Police In Newark Searching for Nike Thief

Newark, NJ – Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is appealing to the public for help in identifying a suspect linked to a theft on June 22, 2024. The incident occurred around 4:10 PM in a backyard on the 400 block of South 13th Street.

A man reportedly entered the victim’s backyard and stole party lights, extension cords, and a pair of Nike sneakers. The suspect is described as a tall Black male with light-brown dread locs. He was last seen wearing a gray and black Nike tech hooded sweatshirt, gray Nike shorts, and black Jordan VI sneakers.

Detectives are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with information about the suspect to come forward.
